Heart attack
A heart attack, also known as a myocardial infarction, occurs when the blood flow to a part of the heart muscle is blocked for a long enough time that part of the heart muscle is damaged or dies.
Heart Failure
Heart failure is a chronic condition in which the heart is unable to pump enough blood to meet the body’s needs.
Birth Defects
Heart birth defects, also known as congenital heart defects (CHDs), are among the most common types of birth defects. They involve structural problems with the heart that are present at birth and can affect how blood flows through the heart and to the rest of the body.
Heart rate Disorders
Heart rate disorders, also known as arrhythmias, involve irregularities in the rhythm or rate of the heartbeat. These disorders can lead to the heart beating too fast, too slow, or with an irregular rhythm.
Varicose veins
Varicose veins are enlarged, twisted veins that most commonly occur in the legs and feet. They result from weakened or damaged valves in the veins, which cause blood to pool rather than flow smoothly back to the heart. This condition can cause discomfort and may lead to more serious circulatory problems if not addressed.
Disease of arteries
Diseases of the arteries, also known as arterial diseases, involve conditions that affect the arteries, the blood vessels that carry oxygen-rich blood from the heart to the rest of the body. These diseases can lead to serious health complications, including heart attack, stroke, and peripheral artery disease.
